Kraft Energy™ is a leading provider of vapor
curing systems for the accelerated hardening of semi-dry concrete
flags. Both production processes – vertical (edge stack)
and horizontal (flat stack) -- benefit from vapor curing. Vapor
curing
provides heat and moisture that save money during and after production
as well as improve the quality of the finished piece.
Kraft Energy’s complete precision-designed vapor
curing systems include:
- Vapor generator
- Distribution and control equipment
- Chamber and doors
- Air circulation and exhaust technology
In addition, the systems are provided with turnkey installation
and commissioning.
Benefits of Vapor Curing Concrete Slabs/Flags
Vapor Curing SAVES MONEY by:
- Allowing faster turnaround times, which reduces inventory.
- Reducing the amount of cement needed by more efficiently hydrating
the mixture. (In air-dried curing, the water-cement ratio does
not hydrate all the cement; up to 20 percent of the cement is
wasted. With vapor curing, more of the cement is hydrated, which
means that less cement needs to be used in the mixture.)
- More uniform colour and strength
Vapor Curing improves the QUALITY by:
- Producing higher early strength
- Reducing handling breakage and packaging costs

Timeline
Example
Look at the difference that vapor provides for ground/polished
or shot-blasted flag producers:
Without Vapor
Day 1 – Produced and
air cured
Day 2 – Cubed, packaged and
moved outside
Day 10 – Unpackaged, separated
and blasted or polished, re-cubed, packaged
and shipped
With Vapor
Day 1 – Produced, vapor
cured, shot blasted or polished, cubed, packaged and shipped. |
