Our complete focus has been to listen to the needs of the concrete manufacturing marketplace and respond with innovative concrete curing products.
The concrete market we serve is worldwide and ever changing. To succeed, we have learned to be on top of the innovative, technical issues and to respond quickly. Our goal is to serve as a neutralizing agent to manufacturers of concrete products: we strive to develop concrete curing systems that reduce the amount of cementitious material and additives, while using less energy and increasing plant utilization over less space requirements.
We continue to solve problems faced by the concrete curing industry. For instance, Kraft Energy™has broadened its scope to provide turnkey concrete curing systems. We learned from our customers that they needed complete curing services, from system design to installation to commissioning.

Manufactured concrete producers don’t always have time or resources to devote to researching and implementing concrete curing solutions. In response to their demands, our company now provides services encompassing all facets of concrete curing.
While we maintain and build our expertise in concrete curing systems, Kraft Energy™ leadership is seeking other ways to improve the final concrete product. We are expanding our product portfolio to include concrete curing equipment used in the production of precast concrete products. And we are partnering with respected equipment manufacturers in bringing their products and technology to the marketplace.

As always, we follow the guidelines of our corporate mission statement:
Kraft Energy™ is dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of accelerated concrete curing while increasing product strength and quality. We will continue to make and sell the highest quality concrete curing systems available worldwide and to provide exceptional service before the sale, during installation and throughout the life of the system. In addition, we strive to make innovations to the concrete production process that will positively affect the final cured product.

Product Development of
Steam Curing, Vapor Curing, Concrete Curing Technologies

Kraft Energy™ wants to be your single-source supplier of accelerated concrete curing products and industry expertise. To give ourselves the competitive edge in the marketplace, we have developed a team of trained professionals who are dedicated to improving all aspects of concrete curing.

Our top-notch engineering team meets the challenge of constantly improving the equipment we manufacture and deliver. Every aspect of a piece of equipment is meticulously designed and refined over time to provide the highest quality possible. Our systems reach the customer with the best engineering and craftsmanship available in the market.

As the manufactured concrete products industry evolves, Kraft Energy™ continues to focus on research & development. Our R&D effort is not limited to a few people hiding away in a laboratory. Instead, our entire company--including management, sales people and engineers--make up our R&D endeavor. We realize that every client meeting, every sales call and every installation is an opportunity to learn and grow. In fact, most of our vapor curing and stearm curing research is conducted with customers at their production facilities, who themselves are developing new concrete products for the marketplace. We listen to concrete producers to better understand their problems. We then work with customers on-site to develop solutions.

In response to our customers’ needs, Kraft Energy™ is changing and growing. We are adapting technology from other industries for use in accelerated curing. An example is the insulated door (for a curing chamber) we now offer that was originally designed for the food processing industry. We are also changing internally. We have increased our employee base to include people with experience in the precast concrete industry.

At Kraft Energy™, we are perpetual innovators for the benefit of the manufactured concrete products industry and believe in the future of this versatile building material.

Why Steam Curing, Vapor Curing, Concrete Curing?

Kraft Energy™ is dedicated to helping concrete producers get the most from their concrete curing investment.
Precast concrete producers differ from some manufacturers in that they have a two-step manufacturing process where the second step is sometimes seen as optional. The first step, precast concrete casting, is a given. But the second step, accelerated curing, is sometimes neglected. The reason for skipping accelerated curing is usually the same from producer to producer: it costs money. And since concrete producers are in the business of making money, it can be difficult to choose to spend additional money in the production process.

Precast concrete producers who look at the big picture, however, realize that accelerated curing provides cost savings in both time and materials that not only offset the expense but also provide additional return on the investment. And, accelerated concrete curing provides a better quality product, which satisfies customers and reduces waste. Many of our customers are investing a lot of money in new, more sophisticated production equipment. They realize that investing only in the front end only doesn’t make sense. The back end of the process, the steam curing, vapor curing, concrete curing process, deserves their attention as well.

In this website, you can learn more details about the cost savings and benefits of concrete curing systems from Kraft Energy™.

Here is a summary of how accelerated concrete curing saves money. Accelerated concrete curing systems:
• Lower the cost of producing concrete products by reducing the amount of cement and other additives required in the mix
• Decrease energy costs by efficiently using heat created by cement during curing
• Reduce turnaround time for hardened products, which frees up rack space and makes better use of production personnel
• Dramatically lessen the number of rejects and customer complaints

An example I often use to illustrate these concepts involves concrete pavers: there are both financial and quality incentives to accelerate the curing of concrete pavers. Accelerating the hardening of the pavers reduces the amount of rack space, building space and pallets required – reducing the initial capital expense of a greenfield project. Reduced hardening times of no more than 12 hours allow for immediate secondary processing (splitting, grinding and polishing, tumbling, etc) without intermediate yard storage saving a huge amount of money on strapping materials, transportation and yard space. Accelerated concrete curing allows for the use of GGBFS (ground granulated blast furnace slag) and other latent hydraulic by-products that reduce material costs. From a quality aspect, proper curing improves the consistency of all concrete properties including color, strength and durability, and it reduces the likelihood of secondary efflorescence and lessens complaints.

Whether choosing Vapor, Quadrix™, Convect-Air™, ThermalCure™ or an air circulation system, (our steam curing, vapor curing, concrete curing systems) the consistency achieved by controlling the concrete curing portion of the production process will become immediately evident – providing a sense of having made an overdue change for the better.

Kraft Energy™, is dedicated to concrete curing technology at its best and appreciate your interest in the subject. This website is an example of our commitment to this industry. We trust it will educate you about concrete curing and guide your decisions in incorporating curing systems into your business. We are here to answer your questions and want to help you select the best accelerated curing system for your business.

Learn more about the concrete curing process by following the links below.

INTRODUCTION:
Letter from President
Concrete Curing Product Development
Why Cure Concrete?

CONCRETE CURING TECHNOLOGY DESIGN PRINCIPLES

APPLICATIONS FOR CONCRETE CURING TECHNOLOGY
Concrete Block, Paving and SRW Products
Semi-Dry Concrete Slabs/Flags
Wet Cast Concrete Slabs/Flags
Concrete Pipe, Culvert and Manhole Products
Concrete Cast Stone
Concrete Veneer Stone
Concrete Roof Tiles
Precast Concrete Products
Prestressed Concrete Products
Custom Solutions -
